SYNOPSIS: “Indigenous Elvis Works the Medicine Line,” in which a woman finds herself flustered by the attentions of a guard at the Canadian border, is an experimental form, the poem-film. In it the writer Heid E. Erdrich plays with the familiar character of the guy who has a little bit of an Elvis vibe going on. Often this guy has jobs like casino guard or museum security, when he was little he was probably a school-crossing guard.
