Heid is currently available for engagements in 2016-2017

Heid E. Erdrich regularly travels to guest teach and perform her work at colleges, universities, schools and at art and cultural centers as well as appear at literary festivals and book events.

SPEAKER & PERFORMER  Heid’s work is interdisciplinary, creative, and scholarly. She has been a guest of Creative Writing, English, Native American Studies, Women’s Studies, Visual Art and other departments.

WORKSHOPS Published as a poet, playwright, non-fiction and fiction author, Heid gives writing workshops and leads retreats in multiple genres. Recent workshops include the North Coast Writers Festival and the Oak Ridge Writers Retreat. As part of the Augsburg low-residency MFA, Heid gives a 10 day workshop each summer in Minneapolis.

ENGAGEMENTS Recent visiting writer residencies, keynotes, lectures and readings include: UCLA, McGrath Lecture at MSU Moorhead; University of Arizona Tucson, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, SUNY Oneonta,Kenyon College; University of Indianapolis; Leech Lake Tribal and Community College; Woodland Trails Indian Arts, Lac Du Flambeau, WI;  Bemidji Book Festival, Fond du Lac Community College; University of Wisconsin, River Falls; the ACTC Writer-in-Residence at Augsburg College, Minneapolis; the Ethnic Voices series sponsored by Park College in Kansas City; Haskell Indian Nations University; the Institute of American Indian Arts, Dartmouth College, Canisius College, and dozens of other libraries and cultural institutions.
