Heid is currently available for engagements in 2017-2018

Heid E. Erdrich regularly travels to guest teach and perform her work at colleges, universities, schools and at art and cultural centers as well as appear at literary festivals and book events.

SPEAKER & PERFORMER  Heid’s work is interdisciplinary, creative, and scholarly. She has been a guest of Creative Writing, English, Native American Studies, Women’s Studies, Visual Art and other departments.

WORKSHOPS Published as a poet, playwright, non-fiction and prose author, Heid gives writing workshops and leads retreats in multiple genres. Recent workshops include the North Coast Writers Festival, Bemidji Book Festival, and the Oak Ridge Writers Retreat. As part of the Augsburg low-residency MFA, Heid gives a 10 day workshop each summer in Minneapolis.

ENGAGEMENTS Recent visiting writer residencies, keynotes, lectures and readings include: Native American Literature Symposium, Colgate College, Dayton University, Winona State University, American Indian Higher Education Consortium, University of Alaska Fairbanks, McGrath Lecture at MSU Moorhead, University of Northern Iowa, United Tribes Technical College,  and dozens of other libraries and cultural institutions.
