Heid is currently available for virtual engagements in 2020 and, with hope, in-person later in 2021

Heid E. Erdrich regularly travels to guest teach and perform her work at colleges, universities, schools and at art and cultural centers as well as appear at literary festivals and book events. She particularly enjoys visiting interdisciplinary programs,  librarians and libraries, museums, and tribal and community colleges.

SPEAKER & PERFORMER  Heid’s work is interdisciplinary, creative and scholarly. She has been a guest of Creative Writing, English, Native American Studies, Women’s Studies, Visual Art, food programs and other departments as well as reading series in diverse venues nationwide.

WORKSHOPS Published as a poet, playwright, non-fiction and prose author and editor, Heid leads workshops and retreats in multiple genres in a variety of academic, community, and cultural settings.

ENGAGEMENTS Recent visiting writer residencies, keynotes, lectures and readings include: University of Georgia Athens, Newberry Library, Northwestern University, Kalamazoo College, National Book Festival, Portland Book Festival, Native American Literature Symposium, Colgate College, Dayton University, Winona State University, American Indian Higher Education Consortium, University of Alaska Fairbanks, McGrath Lecture at MSU Moorhead, University of Northern Iowa, United Tribes Technical College, and dozens of other institutions.
